The Plan Review Division is responsible for ensuring that your project plans comply with all applicable building codes and city ordinances. The contractor and trade license ordinance is also administered by the division and information can be found on this web site.
The plan review process and can save an applicant time and money by identifying potential code violations before materials and labor are spent.
All applications are reviewed under the following codes:
- 2006 International Building Code
- 2006 International Residential Code
- 2006 International Fire Code
- 2006 International Energy Conservation Code
- 2006 International Mechanical Code
- 2006 International Plumbing Code
- 2006 International Fuel Gas Code
- 2005 National Electrical Code
Building permit applications received and projects for which building permits were issued prior to January 1, 2008 are constructed and reviewed under the following codes:
- 1997 Uniform Building Code
- 2005 National Electrical Code
- 2000 Uniform Mechanical Code
- 2003 Uniform Plumbing Code
