Human Services
The Community Development Division administers Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the City of Lawrence. City General Funds may also be allocated to assure benefit to low income households primarily by:
- Contracting with nonprofit organizations to deliver essential services.
- Working with the Community Commission on Homelessness, the Housing Practitioner's Panel and the Neighborhood Resources Advisory Committee to develop and implement community-wide goals and initiatives.
