Community Development
The Community Development Division, managed by Margene Swarts, administers the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the HOME Investment Partnerships Program Grant (HOME), which the City receives from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Community Development Division uses an extensive citizen participation process to develop and recommend housing and neighborhood strategy to the City Commission. The Neighborhood Resources Department prepares the Consolidated Plan and the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice for City Commission approval.
